About Me

3 time academy award nominee. 9 time grammy award winner and UN ambassador for womens rights. Derek Quill is none of these.

But still, I'm Derek Quill and I'm a very sexy native american who looks scottish. I have perfect teeth, green eyes, nice shoes & a great relationship with my mom.

I direct movies, documentaries, 3d animations and music videos.

Dec 19, 2007 - Just got back from Hawaii, they were great hosts and treated my son and daughter like a Prince and a Princess. From the hotel with the most beautiful view ever to everything we did. Limos, sailboats, safari's, surfers, Luau's...exceptional! Be Sure to check out the pictures!

Oct 31, 2007 - Last premiere was in Oklahoma City and there was like 1500 people, just gets bigger and bigger, I directed a movie starring Adam Beach, Don Burnstick, Ryan Black and many more actors & actresses and the USA Premiere . It was an amazingly positive reaction! The movie i directed is called "Kigeet".

August 2007 - Drove down to NYC with my kids. I have 7 year old daughter named Amy and a 14 year old son named Branden (they both live with their mom out of town and with whom I still lucky to have a very good friendship). My kids and I visited and toured many interesting places in the last couple of years. We've been to the Grand Canyon 3 times. Spent the night camping in the Valley of the Gods and visited Devil's Tower at night (spooky), passed by Mt. Rushmore, checked out Crazyhorse and spent some time in the town of Bedrock before chasing buffalo around Custer. Moved on to the Badlands & Wounded Knee.

This past month, we went southeast to Graceland in Memphis, Loretta Lynn's rance and the Grand ole Opry in Nashville. We were pretty amazed when we hiked into the Mammoth caves in Kentucky, which are pretty much 400 miles of caves with some the size of a school gym. After that we hit the White House and then NYC where we celebrated my birthday on the set of Law & Order:SVU. That was pretty cool. Then we had an amazing time while we walked, ferry'd, drove and rode the subways of NYC visiting Times Square, Grand Central Station, the Brooklyn Bridge, WTC, the statue of Liberty and so much more that I'm forgetting.

As you can tell, we really love our adventurous experiences such as bungee-jumping off the cliffs of the Colorado Rockies, horseback riding through forests, racing cars up, down & through mountains & deserts, rock climbing to the top of volcanoes, bigfoot hunting through the giant redwood trees, ufo searching at Roswell and Area 51. We've driven all the way to Hollywood, New Orleans, Mexico, Florida, NYC, Toronto, San Francisco, Vegas, Memphis, Texas, just searching for the next adventure which is always just around the corner.

Let's see, some things that I just did...I just finished reading The Tenth Insight and Black House by Stephen King. The last cd I bought was Blue Rodeo's Live Concert Recordings and Macy Gray's 1st cd. There's an exercise bike (which I need to use) and an anti-gravity machine that I use everyday. It's so cool!

Feb 2007 - Sup fool! Check this out! Ur 1 & only just finished directin' an interactive movie called "Kigeet" starring Adam Beach, Ryan Black, Don Burnstick and written by Chris Beach.

Aug 2006 - Well, I've lived in Winnipeg for awhile now and I am the "computer guru" where I work at AMC. I also run my own multimedia company called Quill Interactive where I make websites, movies for film festivals, music videos, 3d animations, etc. Plus have a side hobby as a singer/songwriter and I've been featured on NCI and APTN. Yep, I've even been to Hollywood several times now.

I am the father of 2 beautiful, wonderful, happy children. They are the best thing to happen to me in my life because they taught me all about unconditional love. I try to teach them that Life is an adventure and you should do what makes you happy. You only get one chance to live your life. Myself, I absolutely love the adventure of bungee-jumping, sky-diving, surfing in the ocean, petting sharks, racing my car down a mountain against other suped-up cars, winning, snowboarding, skiing, water-skiing, horseback riding (really fast), whitewater rafting, cliff-diving and all that good stuff.

Amy scares me cuz she is so reckless, so fearless, so confident, so cocky and arrogant...reminds of me. My son is addicted to rollercoasters, and my daughter will follow him on all the craziest rides. She even rode Space Mountain - 3 TIMES! She scares me the most when she's standing on the very edge of the Grand Canyon, cuz just like her dad, she just wants the best view.

When we went to Disneyland in California. Their wish was that we drive down there. They only wanted to see everything that their daddy saw. They saw everything including Vegas, the Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles, San Francisco (my fave city in the world) and went looking for bigfoot.

Out life is simple, we just want to experience everything this earth has to offer! Egypt, South America (mayan, incan & aztec cultures), Mongolia, Great Wall of China, Himalyan Temples, London, Paris, Istanbul, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Ayers Rock in Australia, Rio, Andaman Islands (heaven on earth) and Outer Space of course.

Interests

To Promote Unconditional Love;
To Cultivate Non-Judgmental Intimacy;

Favorite Quote

Happiness is only real when it's shared. Happiness is in the world around you and the people living in it, and the love you have for them and they have for you.

Choose feelings over logic, adventure over perfection, here over there, now over then, and always, love, love, love.
